Laura Belsey is a creative explorer who has ventured into the worlds of advertising, film, television and teaching with stunning results.
She’s been directing short films, television and commercials internationally for over fifteen years for clients such as Swatch, IBM, Nissan, Honda and IKEA and has received more than a dozen major advertising industry awards, including a Cannes Gold Lion and the One Show Best of Show.
Laura’s latest television accomplishments include directing several episodes for NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU” and her spot for the Coalition for the Homeless, “New York, New York,” was hailed by The New York Times as “one of the most remarked on, and remarkable, examples of the puissance of public service advertising”, and is now in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Laura is also a faculty member at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
