Maureen has worked for many years in the advertising industry, first as agency Art Director, and later as a Creative Director and Head of Art.
She worked for very well known agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Young & Rubicam in LatAm. She has received several awards in the most important National and International Festivals. Her accolades include three Cannes Lions awards and six Clio awards.
In addition to her agency role, Maureen has been working as an experimental photographer, or more specifically as a Lomographer. In 2007 she was chosen out of twenty-seven thousand participants as the International Champion of the Absolut Lomo Competition, and was invited to take part in the “Lomographic World Congress 2007 held in London. Her lomographies can be seen in her recent work for Nike, the “Hoody On Moments” campaign.
The chance of working with some of the major agencies in Buenos Aires – such as Santo, Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi, Ponce Buenos Aires and JWT – gives her the opportunity to collaborate on interesting scripts, some of them with great sense of humour. Her experience as creative director helps in creating a good team with the creatives and improving the scripts.
Her passion for photography and aesthetics reflects on the attention towards art direction in her commercials. She likes attending to as many film festivals as possible and her favourite directors are: Todd Solondz, Aki Kaurismaki and Hong Sang-soo.
